The story of God for the city of L.A.
Mission
We exist to glorify God by leading communities into healthy relationships with Jesus and others.
vision
by the year 2041 we would see the San Fernando Valley+ saturated with Gospel-centric, neighborhood focused, healthy churches that plant other churches.
Our story is God’s story.
We believe He is writing an epic story of redemption. No one is too bad, mad, or far from God to matter to him. Every twist and turn has value to God and us. When you come to Story City, your story is welcome here.
We’re real and redeemed.
We balance faith and failure. Every person’s story is full of beauty and brokenness, we are not perfect, each of us has our own story, our limp enriches our legacy.
We serve the neighborhoods we call home.
We live in and learn from the cities we hope to impact. Our commitment is to be more generous to our neighbors than they are to us, not serving simply within our own walls, but people that live next to us too.

THE MOVEMENT
Story City Church is a committed member of the SEND NETWORK movement. SEND NETWORK is a movement of “Churches and Church Planters – planting churches everywhere for everyone.” SEND discovers, develops, deploys, and cares for church planters in partnership with local churches like Story City.
THE NETWORK
Inside every healthy movement, you will find those who are committed to championing, challenging, and cheering for you. We have discovered this in our partnership with the Strategic Launch Network (SLN). The SLN helps us play our part in the movement. It is “a network of like-minded churches, leaders, and friends working together to start strategic, high-impact churches in North America, with a focus on reaching people who do not know Jesus.”
THE TRIBE
Proverbs 17:17 (CSB) says, “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a difficult time.” Vintage Mission is a small group of like-minded churches who stand with Story City in our successes and failures. The churches of Vintage Mission are our sister churches and the ones we most closely align with inside the movement. Vintage mission is “passionate about building healthy churches – churches that are vertical in their focus, that are reaching their communities with the gospel, and are accessible to all peoples in their community.”
